Central Park and the rain

We went to Central Park again.  This time I had to show my dad the International Swim Center.  We ate lunch in the pavilion and then scootered, strolled, wormed, and biked around the various paths of the park.

We found a new to us playground that had a really tall slide.

Good thing my dad was there to catch him because it was steep and fast.

It actually scared Joel enough that he only would go with Gung Gung the next time.

He felt pretty safe with Hannah too.

Totally blurry, but exactly how they were feeling about this slide.

It actually started to sprinkle, so we acted like Californians and left.  The weather people have been predicting rain for a couple of weeks and locals keep telling us that the rain is going to come.  Well, it finally came tuesday night.  So many things about it remind me of home...the sound being the most obvious, darker skies, the fresh clean smell of the air, the nasty mulched up wet leaves on the road, the list could go on.  I don't think I miss the rain quite yet, but I certainly will always miss home.

In case you feel really bad for us, don't worry the forecast says 70s for the weekend and we are going to Monterey!  We're going to be just fine.  :)
