Santa Clara University
Yesterday, we did some more exploring. We went to Santa Clara University to visit one of two Seattle friends that go to college there. This is Rani, the kids love her and her whole family!
We checked out her dorm room, which was quite large compared to mine freshman year. It also has a sink!!! Did your dorm have a sink? Mine sure didn't and I would have thought I was living in the lap of luxury if I had a sink in my room.
The kids were very intrigued by the dorms and where you go to class, etc. Since our visit, the kids have been playing "dorm room" and "college." It is pretty cute! I was worried they'd also start playing "party," because Hannah saw a frat party happening on the front lawn and roof of a house this weekend. Stay classy (and safe), frat boys!
We also received a tour of campus from Rani. It is a really beautiful place!
We also stopped to smell the flowers. Things were still in bloom everywhere!
Lastly, we had to get a silly picture in. It was so fun to get to see this campus as well as know that Rani is so nearby!
Afterward, I tried to be spontaneous and check out a new park close to campus to eat lunch. Well, that plan failed and somehow we ended up at the airport. LOL! That's why I was saying yesterday that it's better to explore only ONE new place each day and to have a navigator. :)
Hope you all have success in finding your adventures today!
