The ultimate lasagna

  Last week, Mike made the most amazing lasagna inspired by Tyler's Ultimate Lasagna recipe.  (Any of Tyler's Ultimate recipes are amazing.)  You could actually say it is Mike's Ultimate Lasagna recipe because he even made the ricotta fresh that evening.  Have you ever done that?  It is super easy and super yummy.  Mike usually makes it for me as a filling for crepes on Mother's Day.  Over-indulgence happens, but it's only once a year!  :)

  He made this lasagna and I made cupcakes that night to honor the memory of his sister who is in heaven and who would have been 36 years old last week.  We have a few special people in our lives that our kids never met, but instead know through the stories we tell and pictures.  Hannah also has her auntie's middle name in her honor.  These occasions are so necessary to keep their memory alive, as well as allow Mike to know we mourn and love his sister along with him.
