Fun(ny) kids
I love my job. There is no denying that these kiddos can make me crazy sometimes. But, at the end of the day, I am so thankful I get to do what I do.
I mean, seriously, I get to hang out with a pirate and his sidekick when Hannah is at school.
I get to be with this sweet girl too. (She did not roll over last night, whew!)
They just crack me up! I told him:
"Be a pirate, Calvin!"
"Okay, that's really not what a pirate does."
"How about you show me a mad face?"
That is the cutest mad face I have ever seen. Don't worry, I have seen some mad faces.
When Hannah started talking, I started writing down the funny things she would say or stories she'd tell. I haven't written anything down in some time. Not sure I can pinpoint exactly why, but lately the boys especially have been cracking me up. I thought of recording them on something like this line-a-day type of journal. I know I won't fill it out everyday, but I need a place to be able to write down the time I found Joel dipping his toothbrush in the toilet water and then brushing his teeth. Yeah... Oh my gosh, yes, I FREAKED out!
Or
Yesterday, Calvin telling everybody about how he was the UPS man for Halloween while we biked to pick Hannah up from school. Our neighbor, the UPS man, and the mail man. If there were more people, they would have heard as well.
Speaking of the poor mail man, Calvin loves to yell, "Hi, mail man!" across the street whenever he sees him on our way to get Hannah. In copying Calvin, Joel yells, "HI, MAILBOX!" (Capitalized because his talking is always yelling.)
Speaking of Joel saying hi, he now calls Calvin, Calvy. "Hi, Calvy. What did you say, Calvy? Sorry, Calvy. I'm doing it, Calvy." Equally as cute as when he used to call him Calv. "What are you doing, Calv? That's mine, Calv."
Calvin's response to Joel, "I'm Cal-VIN, not call me Calvy!" As much as we need to get him into speech, I am going to miss his talking right now. "You want to pway wit me, Joel? Him say no. Him not want to do that wight now."
The stories could go on and on and on.
Wherever I record them, and I must record them, so that the funny memories will last forever!
