Basil

   I was trying to Barefoot Contessa-like and have fresh herbs at the ready.  After about a month the basil plant started to outgrow the space I had for it in my kitchen window.  I didn't know that the basil would keep growing.  Did you?

 

  And I certainly didn't know it would start growing roots either!  This was a bunch of cut basil I bought from the farmer's market and now it is a full on plant.  Super cool if you ask me.  I finally planted this in our garden because it was drinking up the water so fast with all of those roots.  I'm hoping it does well because the other basil we planted isn't looking so great right now.
