Our weekend

  We had a wonderful long weekend with some family in town.  They did a couple day pit stop in San Jose on their way home from Maui.  We were so happy to see them!!

  We had lunch and played in the fountain in Los Gatos.  I didn't really want Ava going in at first because I knew she would just go for it

  On Sunday, we beat the traffic and headed to the beach.  I've talked about other perfect beach days, but I really mean it this time.  PERFECT beach day.  Normally, the beach is overcast in the morning and it burns off for us, which is still pretty great.  When we got in at 10:15, the clouds had already rolled away and it was sunny and not windy and so perfect.

  We had extra hands to keep Ava from being wiped out by the waves.  At one point, the waves definitely rolled completely over her and she didn't even care. 

  These kids love their cousin!   They wish they could live in Portland near him and the others.  Just mentioning Portland and these kids get all stir crazy. 

 

  He's actually my first cousin, but if you know us, we don't bother with correct familial relation names.  Everyone's family!  He plays with my kids like I used to play with him way back when...  Isn't he cute?  I used to call him Satsuma and when I got married to Mike, he started calling us the Sweet tarts.

Immediately out when we got in the car, sand still on the mouth and all.
