Our weekend
I believe I have finally fully recovered after Joel's party last weekend. Which was perfect timing for another busy weekend. We had soccer, birthday parties, and dinner guests too.
First birthday party was in San Mateo. A beautiful city nestled in the hills. We had never been and, as we do with all new places, were taking it in like tourists. Gorgeous, gorgeous scenery.
They decorated cookies and aprons which they all loved doing! Something about squeezing the stickiness out of a tube is so fascinating to young children.
Later that evening we had our college friends over for dinner! Oh my gosh, they must think our kids are WILD. I am saying it mildly when I say that my little ones get extremely excited when people come to play with them.
Sunday, after church we headed to Happy Hollow for the second birthday party of the weekend. The kids were spoiled with getting their faces painted! Every time we walk by the booth, they ask, and my answer is always no.
Seeing their faces light up when they looked in the mirror was so precious! After I saw Hannah's face light up, I made sure to have my camera ready when the boys saw theirs!
Pure happiness. I love it!
Okay, so Joel looks a bit indifferent. He certainly didn't want it washed off though, so that tells me he did like it! :)
Hope you had a fun weekend too!
