Raw brownies

Sometimes, I get a craving for chocolate that a hand full of chocolate chips does not satisfy.  However, I don't want to make a whole batch of brownies because I don't want to have to wait.  Not to mention, the fact that I would then have a whole batch of brownies that I would not have the self-control to not devour in a couple of days.

Enter, the raw brownie.

Chocolatey, chewy (yet has a tender crumb), and whipped up in 5 minutes, these raw brownies made with dates are delicious!  It is naturally sweet, not a single teaspoon of processed sugar added.  They satisfied my chocolate craving for the night for sure.  Even Mike (my biggest skeptic!!!!!!!!) poured a glass of milk and ate these treats.  I kept taking more bites to test the texture as my mind was tripping on how brownie-like it was.

I halved this recipe and they turned out fine.

Throwback to my favorite little 4 year old chocoholic.  She has always been a chocolate girl!!

However, if you are completely not interested in raw brownies, or you are needing the real deal, I have some great recommendations.  My current favorite are these vegan brownies.  Do not let the word vegan scare you. If you try them, my advice is to food process your own almonds instead of using almond flour.  Seriously YUM!!!!
