Using our time wisely

Let me tell you, I am loving the time freedom I have on MWF now that school is back in session and Hannah is at school for a full day.  With Ava still taking a morning nap, I don't have the time crunch with the only window of getting out of the house being the hour and a half between nap and picking Hannah up by noon like we had to last year.  Full day school is a life changer, for this year at least.

Lately, on the days we are able to, I have been loving hanging out at home all day.  Sometimes, I am trying to keep them busy, other days they are keeping me busy.  Whatever it is, they always find a way to be boys and have fun.

If we aren't at the pool, we're diving onto the couch cushions.

When Calvin is in preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I feel like I have license to go get a million errands run and all of the chores done with only two to cram into a cart of groceries.  But then there is this sweet little boy, Joel, 3rd born, middle child, who could so easily get lost in this schedule.  I struggle with passing him the iPad (which he would absolutely adore) and cleaning the house or taking advantage of this sweet time with him.  Time alone that we've never had before.  There are some days that stuff just needs to get done, but I am loving being with just Joel for the one hour twice a week that I can.  He loves all things with wheels, reading books, taking things apart and putting them back together, and doing puzzles.  It is short, but it is such a treat!  Not to mention, I have never regretted reading books with him.  The clean floors can wait!
