Redwood Grove Nature Preserve
Went on a little adventure with some friends today in a Redwood Preserve. A perfect place for moms to take all the kids on a "hike" when you're riding solo. Interesting enough terrain to keep them engaged and excited, small enough for when they utter those dreaded two words (I'mmmm tiiiired!) that they can limp, crawl, or slump walk to the car pretty easily. (That slump walk is so pathetially cute!) Fortunately, we didn't digress into that mode today. They were busy having too much fun! And when the kids are happy, mom is happy. It's just the reality of this season of life.
Found a steep slope that they had to climb and then slide down. Pretty soon everyone was following suit.
All 7 of our kids.
They were all so incredibly filthy after this.
Good-bye hugs!
This little spot is a mile away from downtown Los Altos, home of my favorite craft store down here and a bagel shop that we always stop in for lunch when we're around. Sometimes it's nice to get out of the house and not go to a playground, and even nicer when you don't have to pack lunches. We will definitely be coming back and hopefully in the near future, the creek bed will not be dry so we can enjoy that as well!
