Throwback to 2011 | Calvin's 1st birthday

  I've been busy this week planning a birthday party and thought I'd do a little throwback to his 1st birthday party.  We did a Breakfast Bonanza because Calvin LOVED breakfast.  Shoot, he loved eating as a baby.  If you fed him, you were his best buddy!  I don't even know how I did it back then.  We always did morning parties and I was in my first trimester with Joel here.  When I think back on those times it is a fog, but I am so glad I took pics and some video because I sound and look like I am having fun.

He devoured his cupcake!  He still has those bright eyes, but he's grown into them a bit.

  The kids still play on this tiger and Calvin always reminds them it is his from his 1st birthday.  Those words are stuck in Ava's mind right now.

[Pointing to Minnie.] "That's mine.  For my birday."

  This is one of my favorite pictures!  I remember when Calvin was born and the word family became so real to me.  It was one of those self-realization moments.  I am a mom and I have my own family.  Looking back on these pics are so fun.  Celebrating my kids is one of the sweetest things of life for me.  Can't wait for his 6th birthday party this weekend!
