First day of school #2
Hannah started at her new school today. Her second first day of school, if you will. I was really feeling for her as she has mentioned how she didn't want to go to a new school. I don't blame her. Puesta was an amazing place and she just went through the hard work of making friends and understanding what her teacher was saying to her in Spanish. We really talked up this second 1st day and helped her to get excited for her new school. She walked right in with her new teacher and it was me that started to tear. I am so thankful that Hannah is resilient.
Here we are on our way to school. The school is very close and I am so excited I get to walk Hannah there. The mornings are crisp and the afternoons are warm and sunny. I keep having to pinch myself that it is October. This is the place that I can see why everyone loves fall.
She seemed to have a great day. When we came to pick her up she was all smiles. As she skipped home she told me about her new friend and how she was invited to her birthday party. My heart rejoiced and thanked God for a good first day!
I teared looking at her 2nd 1st day of school pic. She looks a little nervous, but I'm so happy she already met a new friend!
ReplyDeleteI know... I felt so bad that she had to go through this, but she seems to be quite happy. You're right, the pictures weren't quite the same as the first first day.
DeleteSo glad it went well! I was praying for her today, and for Mike's first day at Apple. Hope that went well too.
