Go Seahawks!
It has been a good season to be a football fan in Seattle. We are cheering on the Seahawks one last time from Seattle. Next time, we'll be in sunny California!
I made Ava's Seahawks shirt with some freezer paper and fabric paint. I've done this a few times before and the hardest part is cutting the image out correctly. I love this project because it is pretty simple and provides immediate gratification. And pulling the freezer paper away is really fun! Don't worry, I already know I'm a craft nerd.
I also made a Husky W one for her. I figured I might as well since all of the tools were out for the other one anyway. I did this for Joel, but his was too gross to reuse if you know what I mean.
Finished product. Sadly, the gold got under the freezer paper a bit, but it is good enough for me!
We are currently living out of our bags and staying with our families this weekend. We have been non-stop busy trying to see people and go to our favorite places. I have been taking a TON of pictures and want to share, but have not had a moment to rest. I'll see what I can do.
On a completely different note, I have to give some props to Microsoft right now. I haven't had a chance to use the Surface much because I always have my iPad or my desktop. Now that I don't have my desktop and I really wanted to blog I've actually been using the Surface. For blogging purposes or needing to actually type anything of length, the Surface is the best tool!! This keypad works great AND it has a delete key...don't get me started on why the heck mobile devices don't have a delete key. I can also put the cursor exactly where I want to and it will actually go there! Amazing mobile device feat! If I had to choose one or the other I would probably choose the Surface because it can do everything a laptop can with all of the capabilities and size of a tablet. Which is odd that I am saying this because Mike is going to work for Apple now, but I am impressed. I guess the only thing we have to complain about is the battery life and getting used to using Windows 8. Hope you enjoyed my very technical review. :)
Have a great sunday! Go Hawks!

You crack me up with that Surface review :-)
ReplyDeleteI've been checking the blog to hear how you guys are doing, I guess next time I should just call :-)
