Joel's shenanigans and a house update
Joel is a crack up these days. He is talking up a storm and repeating everything he hears. He also has entered that stage some call the terrible twos. He is mostly fun, but what is terrible is the whining. Anyway, he's been into a little mischief the past two days. What's new?
Yesterday, he figured out that he can turn on the hose. Calvin came inside all wet and told me that they were playing with water. :)
I came out to find the garden area puddling, as well as the lawn. It was on really high!
He was soaked from head to toe. It was pretty cute!
This morning we made mochi for an international potluck at school this evening. Joel thought it would be fun for smurf to jump all over the mochi. I didn't think it was so fun...
You may or may not be interested in the other business going on around here, but I'm sharing it anyway. I mentioned that we were waiting for hot water, thankfully we got that right away. Unfortunately, we've had some other house issues that we've also been waiting on. The bathroom faucets spray everywhere, the dryer stopped working, and our kitchen sink faucet leaks onto the counter. At least we don't have to fix it all ourselves, but we do have to wait. Anyway, right after the dryer got fixed today, I went to grab something under the kitchen sink only to find the cabinet a big puddle. I think at that point I muttered, "I want to kick this house!" You can add that to the list of things I thought I would never say. :) You know when something is broken you kick it? Yeah, the house needed to be kicked. As I carried on with cleaning, the dishwasher soap dispenser thingy was broken too. Ugh. Yes, you read that right, I was using the dishwasher! I know that most of you who know me think I am old fashioned because I don't use our dishwasher or microwave, and I use vinegar and baking soda to clean. However, the dishes are kinda really outta control and just to get them out of my sight, the dishwasher does the trick. :)
Other things to add to the list of things I thought I would never have to say:
"Calvin, stop licking Ava!"
"Pleeeeease stop undoing what I just did!"
I would love for you to add to this list.
