Joel's 2 year check-up

  Yesterday we went to the doctor for Joel's 2 year check.  Sadly, it was the last time we'd meet with our beloved doctor.  She really was special.  She's been the kids' doctor since Calvin was born, so she's seen a lot of us.  The births, the sicknesses, the check-ups, and Hannah's surgeries.  I'm hoping we find a great doctor in Cali too.

 

  Back to Joel's check-up.  He is 25 lbs. and sadly we didn't get a good height measurement.  You guessed it, he didn't want to stand up under the "new" height measurer.  Anyway, as you know he is quite tentative around the doctor's office, but after being here the last few times without any shots for him he did not cry upon entry into the exam room.  He tried to put up a little fight, but as long as we allowed him to keep his hat on he did great.  I was ready with a sucker for his shots and all, but I didn't even need it.  He sat with me through his entire exam and allowed Dr. Wiseman to do a thorough check.  I was proud of him.  I was so glad I thought to take this shot of him on the chair.  I did that when he was little.

Cuteness overload.

 

  Some of you may be wondering how I am still blogging, going to check-ups, taking kids to school, etc. while we are about to move.  Part of Mike's offer included a whole relocation package which includes movers who pack up your stuff for you.  As in, I don't pack a single box.  There would be no other way right now.  Yay for movers!
