Eat, Sleep, Swim

Being in the water is just our family's thing.  We spent all weekend there and with the weather reaching the upper 90s yesterday, you don't even have to guess where we were.

Hannah had her swim meet on Saturday and was smiling as usual during her race.  This just makes me so happy on so many levels.  Seriously.

And a quick peek to check out the competition.  :)

Still smiling!!  This girl.  I can't even handle the cuteness.

She also got to participate in her first relay.

Unlike the summer league I coached, the little kids get to dive in on the shallow end.

To beat the heat, and the long meet boredom, Calvin swam with my dad.

Ava doesn't always get to go in the water because it is usually just me at the pool with all 4 kids.  Sunday evening, she got to go in and she just loved it.

Chillin with Gung Gung.  What a fun week we had with him!

Calvin has also perfected a bellyflop.

It is pure joy to watch my children love to do what I love.  It is also just so much fun to watch them laugh hysterically and play so well together as well as join in on their fun.  This is what summer and childhood memories are made of.  These are the times they will look back on fondly.  I know I do.  In the midst of days or moments of feeling like 4 is a lot of kids and I am not giving them all that they need or all that I think they need, these fun pool days are gold.  The long naps are pretty nice perk too. ;)

  1. Long naps are the best, for them and for you! :-)
Glad you guys are staying cool.
