Errands all day

Hello friends!  I am having one of those days where there is so much to do it is impossible.  One of those days, when there is so much running around that when you come home there are toys everywhere, dishes still in the sink, stuff that should be put away, phone calls to be made, etc.  So much, that is overwhelmingly not possible to even start.  So instead, I blog.  :)  Do you have these kind of days?  Fortunately, today was a bit more bearable because Hannah was home sick and she had enough energy to entertain the two little ones at Costco and watch Ava outside the school office while I registered Calvin for kindergarten.  She is literally a second Mama that I so appreciate!

On a completely different note, but maybe helpful.  I traded in wishful, wishful thinking for practicality today when I returned my Jerusalem cookbook and got a Quick Slow Cooker cookbook by Williams-Sonoma at Costco.  I had been wanting that Jerusalem book for some time, and it is just as amazing and beautiful as I imagined, but it is for a different season of my life.  All of the recipes I saw when I flipped through the slow cooker one looked great to me.  I will look through it more thoroughly soon and maybe there will be some tried and true winners to be shared.  In the meantime, it is about to be that time of the month when we scrounge and so I have some pantry recipes in the queue (my head).  Those blogs tend to take a bit more time to write, so when I get a chance, I will!
