Throwback to the snow three years ago

  Last night, I was looking for pictures of our first house since we have to put it up for rent again.  It was in the spring/summer of 2012 that I was looking and of course it brought back great memories.  Our little house, our 3 little babies at the time, such great memories.

 

  Thought I'd look back to 3 years ago today and found that we were in the deep snow in Leavenworth with some friends celebrating birthdays.  That whole week leading up to it had snowed like crazy and Mike was home all week.

 

  Today also happens to be Thursday which makes it a perfect opportunity to do a little throwback.  Let me just say, I felt like a complete Wimp looking at the pictures.   It just so happened that this morning after our walk to school in the frigid 43 degree morning air, I got so cold I had to bundle up with 3 layers on top and 2 layers on the bottom.  I don't know how I did it before.  I certainly was a sight this morning.

 

In no particular order:

Hannah and her big blankie.  Baby Joel.  Calvin's eyes.

 

  That blankie has been banished and that baby has grown, but Calvin still has wide eyes and those books I'm reading have a lot more wear on them and are still being read weekly.

I forgot how much it snowed that week.  Wowie!

This tree never recovered after this.

 

  Our first home.  Lots of love for that place still.  Hoping that the next renters will be half as good as the ones leaving.
