The nature of my days
Earlier this week, we had some time before naps and I took these cuties on a walk around the neighborhood. No plan, no destination, just time to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Yesterday, I ran 4 different errands back to back with these cuties. Definitely a plan, lots of destinations.
These are my days. Each completely different, each packed pretty full, each with their challenges, each with amazing moments too. It is a far cry from the days when I had just Hannah. A time when I thought I hit the jackpot with one of those "101 Things to do with your Toddler" books. There was just a lot more time spent in and around the house, trying to entertain, always feeling like I was trying to figure out the next activity to do, and feeling like the days were so long. Not so anymore. I definitely do not long for those old days, but I do like these moments of no plan, no destination, just being present with the kids, enjoying their curiosities.
Within the last few months with Ava walking, things have changed a bit. The walks are so much more fun with her following the boys in and out of bushes, finding sticks, picking flowers.
I love this. Just plop down when you feel like it and it's no biggie. By the way, what a cheeser!
She totally gets the "smile for the camera thing now" and it is soooo cute! The boys on the other hand.
Picking flowers for mom. Before I had kids, I thought this was the cutest thing ever that kids did for their mom. When I became a mom and they brought those weeds inside for me, I had different sentiments. However, lately, I've been able to appreciate it and that handful of yellow beauties is in our window sill for me to enjoy.
I guess no mater what the day looks like, I am thankful I get to spend it with my sweet little ones. Before I know it, they'll be in school and I'll only wish they were home hanging on my legs again!
