Soccer saturdays

We did it again, but this season I vowed not to ever again.  We signed the kids up for soccer this fall and we also are both coaches, which is the part I vow to never do during the same season again.  My job is more of a loose term, but I am not sitting on the sideline for Calvin's games if that's what you're thinking.  It's more of wrangling and directing interested and completely uninterested boys during a soccer scrimmage.  Not to mention the clumsy ones, the ones that want to give me hugs during the game, and those that get really angry when their ball is taken away (lots of tears).  Anyway, the point is, our saturday morning commitment got us getting up early and pooped afterward.  I can only imagine life with all 4 in activities.

It's still very fun to cheer them on, especially when they are having a good game.

This past weekend, Hannah scored her first "goal in a real game" ever, as she put it.  She scored two in fact.  Later that night she told Mike that her heart was racing and she was so excited.  So adorable.

Calvin's games are at the worst time possible time...lunch time.  Do you feed them before at the rest they aren't hungry and don't eat enough or do you wait for after and risk a hangry meltdown?  He manages to have fun.  They're games look a bit different than Hannah's.

We were joking about how many pictures we could take of him on the ground because he kinda lays out for each kick.

I don't want to complain too much, because we had 4 kids and what did I think I was signing up for anyway?  But, we are definitely looking forward to our saturday mornings freeing up soon!

Happy thursday!
