Twinsies

These two get mistaken for twins all of the time.  And dressing exactly alike doesn't help.

They actually never do this because they don't have matching clothes, but I bought that tank for Calvin and then my sister bought one for Joel for his birthday.  So, this morning when I went to their room to check on the progress of their chore completion I found two ROWDY boys that were very excited to be, and I quote, "twinsies."

Of course, I had to take a picture.  And then of course, they had to show me all of the poses they wanted me to take pictures of.

Joel misses Calvin so much during the day.  It is really sweet.  They come home and play like crazy together.  It's like a big reunion.  Watching them interact makes the CRAZINESS of having them 18 months apart worth it.

I thought this year was going to be easier than last only having 2 children at home.  Much to my surprise, it has been harder!  Joel and Ava can play together, but Joel is into card games and legos and puzzles, things that Ava cannot do with him yet.  And things that Ava can mess up easily and bad.  So, basically Joel lost his play buddy and he is constantly asking me to play with him now.  I actually don't mind playing Uno and other card games all day, but wrangling Ava away from the cards while playing is not so fun.  And chores? Those just can barely get done unless they are both occupied.  Let me tell you another time about how I make reading in your crib sound really exciting to Ava.  :)

Happy hump day!
