30 weeks along!
I am a documenter! Maybe it is a little bit of an obsession as I have a pregnancy journal for each of my 4 pregnancies, scrapbooks for the first year of each of my kid's lives, and Blurb books with pictures of our entire year, but it is so fun to look back on them from time to time. So, as any obsessive documenter would do, here is another milestone to cover and the most pictures you will see of me on this blog as I am usually the one behind the camera.
10 weeks to go! If this baby is anything like my other 3, I do indeed have exactly ten weeks left (okay, maybe give or take one day). Everyone asks me how I am feeling, and to be honest the only thing I really think about is how 10 weeks seems sooo long and yet sooo short. I have a checkup this week and it is the first of the appointments that happen every two weeks, that's how close I am. Then I'll have FOUR children. So short. On the other hand, ten long weeks of uncomfortable sleep, aching ribs, exhaustion (I have way more energy once the baby comes, am I weird?), and worst of all is 10 more weeks of the comments about how I have so many kids. Well, I guess those comments probably won't stop for a while, but geez, in the past week I've noticed so many people stare at me and my kids and talk about us as if we couldn't hear them! Let's be a little more considerate, people! Moving along now, Hannah was talking about her little sister today and that was a huge reality check for me. She is going to be here really soon! Considering this will be my last pregnancy, I am trying to enjoy having a baby inside of me as best as I can. The kicks, the somersaults (at least it seems!), and my family's hands on my tummy as they get excited when they feel her move are precious moments. Calvin is the funniest, he puts his hands on my tummy and nothing happens, but he still gets the biggest grin on his face and with sheer excitement says, "I felt her tick (kick) me!" Long or short, we are all certainly excited to meet you baby girl!
