Jungle Book walls and shots

 

  Hannah and Calvin have been champs when it comes to immunizations.  I tell them stories about how they never cried when they were babies.  I have also told them repeatedly that it is okay to cry when you have them.  They are now finally becoming more aware and are scared of them.

 

  Joel is a little different.  He had to get a booster shot today.  The moment the stroller entered the Jungle Book room, he burst into tears!  He totally remembered what happened the last time we were there.  He had his finger poked and was NOT okay with the bandaid, and then the two shots after just made him mad.  I remembered too, so I brought a sucker and gave it to him right away.  He was okay with sitting on my lap and his sucker.  However, as soon as the nurse came in and pulled out the needle, he was in serious tears again.

 

  Here he is afterward, you can see his sad tears and snotty nose.  I would be scared of that bear looking at me like that too!
