Getting out

We've spent a lot of time running errands or staying at home this week.  I thought it was supposed to be rainy, but we've had only one morning where we woke up and it was wet.  Otherwise, it has been dry, overcast, and even sunny at times.  It is the kind of weather that you could get out and go to the park, but you don't have to.  To be honest, the thought of taking the kids out and keeping track of all 3 of them, hoisting them up onto things, holding the boys up to do the monkey bars, etc. was not super exciting to me.  On top of it all, I always have to go to the bathroom and that makes me less than motivated to go somewhere with public restrooms.  Well, today I finally decided we needed to get out of the house.  At the request of a very excited Calvin to go to the park with the big net and slide, I was game.  We stopped at the store for a few things on the way and while there, Mike called to see if we wanted to stop by work and have lunch with him.  Of course we wanted to.  We love doing that AND I didn't have to make lunch, double win.  Even though we're so close to his work, we haven't been there in a long time for lunch.

The park was super crowded.  I think there was a whole school there having a picnic and then playing at the park.  We never see crowds in the middle of the week.

Hannah was sooo sweet.  Calvin was nervous around all of the bigger kids and calling out for her.  She would coach him up the tall net and hold his hand at the top.  She would wait with him and help him get to the front for a turn down the slide.

They just stuck together the whole time.  It was so precious.

It's a big slide!

Hannah was trying to be sneaky.  She hid behind a tree and popped out.  I already had my camera ready.  :)  You can see Joel behind her going to hide also, he loves to do whatever his brother and sister are doing.

We usually have Indian food when we have lunch at work with Daddy.  We did again today.  As soon as she found out we were going to eat up there, Hannah requested naan bread and grape juice mixed with fizzy water.  So Indian food it was.  Can't go wrong.  After lunch we always go to the big field to run around.  Well, I sat, because I had to go to the bathroom.  Surprise, surprise.  :)  We love seeing Daddy at work!  What a fun Friday!
