It's 2013, Lindsay.

Our most current family photo, April 2013
It sure is.  And time does not seem to be slowing down.  It's been 5 and a half years since having my first baby (when a lot of friends I know started blogs) and around 3 years since others have urged me to start a blog for craft reasons.  Honestly, I had no desire 6 years ago or even 3 years ago.  But it's 2013 and I'm here.  Welcome to my blog!  Being a mom of 3 young kids and one more on the way, I in no way need another thing to do.  However, with my preggo brain and overall exhaustion, I have lost some motivation if you will.  I need a little sunshine on the many cloudy days here in the NW to get the creative juices flowing, some spice in the kitchen, more of a will to keep things orderly, and some spontaneity and adventure back into my daily life.  We'll see what this translates to, but I am hoping it is more time crafting, cooking up new things, and finding new places to explore.  When I have the energy, I know all motivation is not lost because I'll have days where I am ready to conquer the world and I want to share it.  This place just might be the tool that turns those few days into everyday.  Join me as I embark on a brand new journey and help me keep motivated !

Here is a look at a bit of the history of our growing family and what we look like today:

My firstborn, Hannah, at 5 months in April 2008
Calvin at 3 months in June 2010

Joel at 6 months in April 2012

  1. For a second there I was freaking out because I never knew you had a blog and I felt terrible!! Then I scroll down a little and see that it was started a few days ago. Phew! Your family is so gorgeous Lindsay! Wow. I had NO IDEA you were pregnant with #4. I'm sorry I'm so clueless. You are such a beautiful family and you look so great - just glowing at 30 weeks. I'll keep checking in. The blog is adorable!

    1. Well, let me be the one to tell you that your blog was part of the inspiration for me to finally start. I had been thinking about it for a bit and after seeing your trip I just decided to do it. I may not be in Ireland, Turkey, or Greece (oh, Greece...), but I can still have my own adventures and daily fun here. Sometimes it's hard to be motivated, but I'm going to try! And yes, #4 is on her way in August. We definitely wanted 4, but were a bit surprised with the timing. :)
