Adobo seasoning
We have burritos about once a week. They're fast, easy, and I usually have everything or something on hand to make them. We used to do burritos up a bit more extravagant like Mexican Pot Roast Tacos (yummy and easy) or these (So delicious, but a lot of work. I have done everything in this recipe except the puffy taco shells). Nowadays when we have meat with them we usually just do ground turkey and mushrooms or grilled chicken seasoned with my adobo seasoning. For the ground turkey we use it like you would a taco seasoning packet from the store and for the grilled chicken we use it like a dry rub. I just had to make up a new batch yesterday, it lasts us a couple of months.
Here is my recipe:
Lindsay's Adobo Seasoning
1 Tbls. sea salt
4 tsp. black pepper
4 tsp. granulated garlic
2 tsp. cumin
4 tsp. granulated onion
2 tsp. smoked paprika
3 tsp. curry powder
2 Tbls. oregano
Our favorite burrito/taco supplies:
-uncooked flour tortillas from Costco
-La Tortilla Factory's corn/flour tortillas
-taco shells
-black beans with green chiles or homemade refried beans
-red cabbage slaw
-salsa
-guacamole
-cheese
-greek yogurt
-limes
