Go away germ buggies!

Lots of medicine being administered!
Our whole household has been plagued with some sort of sickness for the past 4 weeks now.  It has been the pits.  We have battled viruses and bacteria and they manifested in each of us in different ways.  Without going into much detail (trust me, it is gross), let me list all of the different things we have had; ear infections, throwing up, pink eye, sinus infection, bad cough, high fevers, sore throats, and runny noses.  Back to back to back in 4 weeks.  This amounts to a lot of tissue and an endless supply of ibuprofen and acetaminophen.  We have had to cancel dinners with friends, miss school, and do a lot of lounging around the house!  Needless to say, getting out is a treat and fortunately we were able to do so on sunday, and the weather was beautiful for us!  The kids were feeling good enough to venture out, but we weren't going to expose them to other kids at Sunday School.  We opted for a fun family outing to UVillage, our favorite place to shop (besides Nordstrom, of course).  It was a nice day and so we enjoyed strolling outside, basking in the sun during lunch, and going into shops as we pleased.  We NEVER do the latter with the kids because we tend to center all of our family activities around things they can participate in.  This was a real treat for us parents and the kids had fun too!  We also went over to my dad's for dinner, something we have been doing pretty consistently for around a year.  Joel even says "Gung Gung" now, it is so cute!

Sunday dinner at Gung Gung's.  Joel likes to smile for the camera!

My dad is a bike enthusiast and always gets new bikes for the kids.  They always ride their bikes when we go to Gung Gung's and we finally put training wheels on the bigger bike for Calvin.  He prefers to ride his strider, but he took this one out for a couple of spins.
Joel loves doing whatever the other kids do.  He rides his "worm" and today he decided to follow Calvin around as closely as he could.  He is a crack up!

My dad got a new phone.  Whenever he gets a new device he always has to get lots of pictures of the kids on them.

They always get ice cream as their "treat" at Gung Gung's.  Calvin was enjoying his "chockit" and "chockit chip mint."
